Our Story:
Crossroads Church was born out of the heart to share the love of Jesus Christ with "the least of these" as founding pastor Shane Suiter was reading Matthew 25. Crossroads was founded on this principle as well as the strong desire to see God impact an entire generation in West Virginia by reaching the population of West Virginia University for Jesus Christ.
These two factors led 20 committed individuals to launch out in obedience and faith and begin Crossroads Church. The small group began meeting on Father's Day (mid June) of 2006 in a picnic shelter on Sunday mornings and a borrowed church on Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings. Crossroads acquired it's own space in September of that year and did an official public launch on April 1, 2007. Two years later, Crossroads purchased its first building at 15 Harrison Street in Westover, where it is presently located.
God has blessed us beyond what we could ask or imagine. He has sent individuals, families, and other church groups to partner with us at just the perfect time to accomplish His great purposes through Crossroads. We have steadily grown from the original core group of 20 people to a present average of around 100. We are still small, but so was David when he killed Goliath. We desire to walk in the same kind of faith as David did as we carry out God's mission for us and His great vision for Morgantown, WV.
